Denna lag gäller, med de inskränkningar som anges i 2 §, varje verksamhet där arbetstagare utför arbete för en arbetsgivares räkning. |
This Act applies to all activities where employees perform work on behalf of an employer, subject to the restrictions specified in Section 2. |

Allmänna skyddsbestämmelser av betydelse för förläggningen av arbetstid finns i 2 kap. 1 § arbetsmiljölagen (1977:1160). Särskilda bestämmelser om arbetstiden för minderåriga finns i 5 kap. den lagen. Lag (1996:360). |
Chapter 2, Section 1 of the Work Environment Act (1977:1160) contains general protective provisions of relevance to the organisation of working time. Chapter 5 of that Act contains special provisions concerning working time for minors. |
